Meeting at the El Dorado airport at 05:00 am, at the entrance, or departures gate 9, on the second floor. Note: No ticket is required, this service is provided by a charter flight.

Registration and check-in to board the plane that will take us to the Municipality of La Macarena.

Induction talk with environmental entities

Accommodation in the hotel corresponding to each visitor.

Lunch in the urban area.

20-minute boat ride on the Guayabero River, enjoying the landscape (birds, babilla caimans, turtles and other local fauna)

Ecological walk to visit one of the main attractions: Mirador- Cristalitos.

Return at 3:30 PM to the urban center of La Macarena, taking the same way.

Day 2

Breakfast.

Departure during the morning.

15-minute boat trip on the Guayabero River enjoying the view.

30-minute tour by vehicles to reach the boat to the Cajuche spring.

One of the arms of Caño Cristales will be visited (the path will be assigned by the environmental entities, depending on the physical level of each person).

Lunch will be served in banana leaves “fiambres” in Caño Cristales.

Return to the urban center of La Macarena, taking the same route.

Cultural integration Night: Folk Show and Gastronomy of the Region.

Music and dances, activities of integration organized by the young people of the region with the visitors.

Day 3

Breakfast.

Departure during the morning.

15-minute boat trip on the Guayabero River enjoying the view.

30-minute tour by vehicles to reach the boat to the Cajuche spring.

Lunch will be served in banana leaves “fiambres” in Caño Cristales.

Return to the urban center of La Macarena, taking the same route.

Day 4

Departure to the scheduled tour (the visitor has the option to choose between Caño Piedra and Fauna and Flora Sighting on Kayak).

Departure of the flight to Bogotá from 12:00 to 3:00 pm.

• The activities included in the different options in all locations and trails are subject to change, by the environmental entities (National Parks, Cormacarena), according to the load capacity. The permission to enter the park, with the activities are delivered on the day of arrival at La Macarena by the environmental entities.
• Check-in at the hotel is at 03:00 pm
• This destination is a natural gem, we do not offer luxury hotels; they all have comfortable rooms with private bathroom, television and fans, but no hot water
• The environmental entities assign the trails according to the physical capacity of the visitor, because there are short, medium and long trails, the latter require greater physical capacity (about 5-hour walks).

• Comfortable and light clothes for activities, long-sleeved shirt to protect from the sun
• Long trousers that are not jeans, preferably sweatshirts that are very comfortable and easy to dry
• Cap or hat, elements to protect enough from the sun, preferably with neck protection.
• Swimsuit to be used on days of activities
• Trainers, that cover the ankle, with good grip and that can get wet, shoes that we use during the walks will get wet
• Raincoat or poncho to protect from the rain
• Small backpack or auxiliary bag, preferably comfortable to carry, in order to be able to walk along very narrow or reduced trails.
• Sunscreen, repellent or any kind of chemicals are not allowed. Do not smoke or drink alcoholic beverages inside the park.
• Plastic bottles are not allowed. Bring a canteen or personal bottle where you can carry 2 liters of water per person
• Water from Caño Cristales is not drinkable.
• Claro is the only mobile service provider in the area
• Vegetarians or people with special food requirements, should inform of these requirements when making a reservation.
• It is important to inform if you suffer from any illness or allergies.
• La Macarena is a destination that does not offer luxuries, accommodation is basic.

There are different options to visit Caño Cristales; get a quote for the one that better suits your travel plans:

• From Bogotá: 3, 4 or 5 days
• From Villavicencio: 3, 4 or 5 days
• From Medellín: 4 or 5 days

Clients have the right to claim a total or partial refund of the amount he/she paid according to the following terms and conditions:

• Teyuna Tours or its provider, has failed to provide the service, as long as the reason is different from force majeure *: you will have a refund of the total amount paid for the service.
• Cancellation of a standard (non-private) tour, either the Lost City trek or another destination in Santa Marta, more than twelve (12) hours prior to the departure of the tour. You will have a refund of the total amount paid for the service.
• Cancellation of a private tour, or transfer service, more than forty-eight (48) hours prior to the starting time of the service. You will have a refund of the total amount paid for the service.
• Cancellation of a standard tour to the Lost City within twelve (12) hours prior to the departure of the tour: there will be a charge of the 10% of the total value of the tour.
• Cancellation of a standard tour other than the Lost City trek within twelve (12) hours prior to the departure of the tour: there will be a charge of the 50% of the total value of the tour.
• Cancellation of a private tour, or transfer service, within forty-eight (48) hours prior to the starting time of the service. There will be a charge of the 10% of the total value of the service.
• Presenting a positive result for the Covid-19 test, after the starting time of a service that requires a negative result, implies a charge of the 20% of the total value of the service.

The customer will not get a refund in the following cases:

• The client does not show up to start the tour (no show).
• An accident or calamity occurs and prevents the service to be provided or provided in full.
• The client resign during the service.
• Events unrelated to Teyuna Tours occur, such as cancellation or delay of flights, loss of luggage, closure of roads, airports, terminals, borders, among other external reasons that may prevent the client to be provided a certain service.

* It is intended as force majeure: meteorological phenomena, disturbances of public order, unforeseen closures of the destination or roads, among others that prevent the service to be provided, or put safety of our customers at risk.
